چکیده
Macroinvertebrate metrics are helpful tools for the assessment of water quality and overall aquatic ecosystem health. However, their degree sensitivity most reliable bioassessment program development very poorly studied in Togo. This study aimed to test calculated at family genus levels. A total 21 parameters macroinvertebrates' data were collected during three periods 20 sampling sites within Zio River. The canonical correspondence analysis (CCA), factor (FA), Spearman's correlation conducted on data. results reveal that macroinvertebrate structure composition affected by related human disturbances. In this study, groups communities identified including sensitive taxa such as Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Trichoptera, Odonata (EPTO) taxa; resistant or resilient Oligochaeta, Hirudinea, Diptera, Pulmonates (OHDP) tolerant Prosobranchia, Bivalvia, Lepidoptera, Heteroptera, Coleoptera (PBLHC). All 13 macroinvertebrate-based found be detection disturbance gradients. EPTO tolerance measure [multimetric index River basin (MMIZB), Average Score per Taxon (ASPT), Biological Monitoring Working Party (BMWP)] robust discrimination pressure reveals macroinvertebrates can used order, family, genera taxonomic level.

متن کاملEcological quality assessment of stream ecosystems using benthic macroinvertebrates
In this study, we applied the SOM for ecological assessment using benthic macroinvertebrates in aquatic ecosystem. First, Chapter I, SOM was utilized to extract information from complex data of environmental variables and benthic macroinvertebrate communities residing in different micro-habitats. Although the sampling was carried out in a limited area, the patterns of environmental variables re...
متن کاملUsing Benthic Diatoms as a Bioindicator to Assess Rural-urban River Conditions in Tropical Area: A Case Study in the Sai Gon River, Vietnam
The changes in diatom assemblages along an urban-to-rural gradient were characterized to assess the ecological status of the Sai Gon River, Vietnam. Diatoms and physico-chemical variables were measured at 10 stations during dry and rainy season. One-way ANOVA showed that diatom metrics and physicochemical variables were significantly different (p < 0.05) between the upper course sites and both ...

متن کاملRiver health assessment using macroinvertebrates and water quality parameters: A case of the Shanbeh-Bazar River, Anzali Wetland, Iran
The study of benthic macroinvertebrate communities is one of the most common methods for assessing the effects of stresses on the biological conditions of aquatic ecosystems and water quality monitoring. This research was conducted to study the changes in the macroinvertebrate communities in the Shanbeh-Bazar River, Anzali International wetland and the effects of environmental factors. Sampling...
